A Broader Vision for Medicine
Dr. Deborah Houk is a board-certified internal medicine physician whose career spans clinical medicine, leadership, public education, and community engagement. Her training at Stanford University, the George Washington University, and Yale New Haven Hospital established the foundation; years of caring for patients at pivotal moments in their lives and leadership within medicine shaped her unique perspective. Today, she brings that foundation into meaningful work that reaches individuals, audiences, organizations, and the public conversation, reflecting a belief that a physician's contribution can extend far beyond the exam room.
Why Deborah MD exists
DEBORAH MD was created from a belief that the value of a physician's perspective can have a much broader reach. Medicine can do more than inform diagnoses and treatment plans. It can help people understand the bigger picture, make better decisions, engage more deeply with their health, and navigate an increasingly complex world with greater confidence and quality of life.
Deborah created this platform to bring that perspective into more places: through personalized health strategy, public education, media, speaking, leadership, and select collaborations. Across each setting, the purpose is the same: to make complex information clearer, connect evidence to real life, and help people move forward with greater understanding and confidence.
At its core, DEBORAH MD is about elevating what a physician's voice can make possible: connecting the dots, translating complexity, bringing a credible perspective to important conversations, and creating meaningful impact in ways that are personal, public, and far-reaching.
